hp designjet t 790 new formatter board and hard disk replaced but it does not boot error 08:11.
The printer's integrated scanner (CIS sensor) failed to complete its calibration process. This can lead to poor scan quality, color inaccuracies, or the inability to scan documents.
- 1
Ensure the scanner glass and calibration strip are clean and free of dust or debris.
- 2
Turn the printer off, wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- 3
From the front panel, navigate to 'Image Quality Maintenance' > 'Scanner Calibration' and attempt to run the calibration manually.
- 4
If the error persists, contact HP Support.
Model-Specific Notes: • T-Series MFP (T1700dr, T850 MFP, T950 MFP): Pay close attention to the white calibration strip located under the scanner lid. Any smudges or damage here will cause calibration failures. • Z-Series MFP (Z9+dr): These models often have advanced diagnostics for the CIS sensor in the service menu. Check the 'Scanner Diagnostics' for individual sensor element readings. Expert Insight: Use a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol to meticulously clean the entire scanner glass and especially the white calibration strip. If the problem continues, access the service menu (usually by pressing specific combinations of buttons during startup) and look for 'Scanner CIS Diagnostics'. This can often pinpoint if specific sensor elements are failing. Check the flat flexible cable (FFC) connection to the CIS unit for proper seating.
