This error indicates a problem with the cooling fan on the Main PCA. Overheating could occur, leading to performance issues or damage.
- 1Dust and debris accumulation on the Main PCA fan blades, restricting movement or causing motor strain.
- 2Worn-out or failed Main PCA fan motor bearings, leading to reduced fan speed or complete seizure.
- 3Faulty fan control circuit on the Main PCA, failing to supply proper voltage or control signals to the fan.
- 4Loose or damaged fan power/signal cable connection to the Main PCA.
- 5Physical obstruction preventing the fan from spinning freely (e.g., dislodged internal component).
- Printer displays error code 55:03 on the front panel.
- Increased internal printer temperature, potentially leading to other thermal-related errors (e.g., printhead overheating).
- Unusual fan noise (grinding, whining, or no sound at all from the fan area).
- Intermittent or complete printer shutdowns due to overheating protection.
- Reduced printing performance or print quality degradation as components struggle under thermal stress.

Turn off the printer and unplug it. 2. Ensure the printer has adequate ventilation around it. 3. Inspect the fan vents for dust or obstructions. 4. Plug in and restart the printer. If the fan is faulty, it needs replacement.
Dust buildup is a common cause. Use compressed air to clean the fan and vents. Listen for any grinding or whining noises from the fan. If the fan isn't spinning, check its power connection on the Main PCA. **Part Numbers & Advanced Troubleshooting:** - Carriage PCA: C7769-60374 (24"), C7769-60065 (42") - Trailing Cable: C7769-60147 - Engine PCA: C7769-60384 - Formatter Board: C7769-60319 (check revision A/B) - Service Station: C7769-60374 **Diagnostic Procedures:** 1. Access Service Menu: Hold Down + Right arrow during boot 2. Run Carriage Scan Test: Service Menu > Tests > Carriage Scan 3. Check voltage at Carriage PCA: Should read 24V DC 4. Inspect trailing cable for cracks or wear at fold points
