Front Panel Communication Error

Model-Specific Notes: • T-Series (e.g., T730, T830): The front panel often connects via a ribbon cable. Be careful when handling these cables, as they are fragile. • PageWide XL Series: The front panel on these models is more complex, often with a dedicated small board. Check the connection to this board as well as to the main PCA. Expert Insight: Start by reseating the ribbon cable at both the front panel and the main PCA. Inspect the cable for any kinks, tears, or damaged pins. If possible, use a multimeter to check for continuity on each line of the ribbon cable. If the cable is good, swap the front panel with a known good one if available. If the issue persists, the main PCA's communication port might be faulty.
